My daughter has another school trip coming up. Her school does not do things by halves, and their school trips are major events. Last year it was the Otzi walk, and actually, soon she will be joining some others to go to Germany to receive a prize for that. This time it is some trip to get round Switzerland or part of it ( i am hazy on details) using all forms of ground transport. So bike, ski, skate, scooter, on foot, and who knows what else.
This week she produced a list of tools she needed for today to make some sort of multi transport things. She needed some old skis and a scooter
(kick board type). Now old skis we had, but a kick board! They were all lost or stolen. So I popped on to the ebay equivalent, and put in a immediate buy of one in the area. Brand new and very cheap.
Unfortunately the guy seemed to be on holiday. He did not answer his mails, he never picked up the phone, he did not return messages. It looked doomed to have the scooter by today. So yesterday evening my daughter borrowed my bike and went to a sports store where she spent 3 times the amount on a fancy gold scooter with princess written on it! All they had apparently.
Then she cycled back, scooter on the luggage rack of my bike, my basket hanging off the handlebars, no up to date licence on the bike, and listening to her ipod. Couldn't get much more illegal if she had tried!

And today she went to school taking skis and scooter, leaving the front door unlocked, lights on, the kitchen a mess, and when I got home, I found the auction site scooter propped against the door!
The vendor must have delivered it.

so, anyone want to buy a scooter? never used ;) I can bring it with me to Berlin if you like.
